Our RealTime project is a state of the art wireless wide area
networking, or WAN, endeavor. With WAN, we are connected to United Community Bank, Lawrenceburg,
People's Federal Savings Bank, Aurora, and Perfect North Slopes to form a Small Town Area Network,
or STAN, allowing us instantaneous access to all participating local area networks at the
connected sites. This permits 24 hours a day, seven days a week support, disaster recovery
services and resource sharing, one of which is high speed access to the Internet, all at a
substantially reduced cost to RealTime clients.
As a part of the RealTime project, MDI dedicated a WAN tower April 12, 2001 at 4 pm.
Originally conceived by our owner, Omar Nuseibeh, as a way to benefit existing customers and
help other businesses in the area that join the STAN to become more technically efficient, the
planning and eventual implementation of the RealTime tower project took over a year to
complete. The whole project has been enhanced by cooperation from competing businesses as they
join together to share resources for the benefit of their customers.
The WAN tower was dedicated in the name of Harvey M. Greene, a practicing attorney and longtime
friend of the Nuseibeh family, who died in September of 2000. Theda Greene, widow of Mr. Greene,
cut the ribbon at the ceremony.
